CNet. Great site for technology news, updates, and downloads.

Geek Toyland. Computer parts, electronics, and other interesting stuff for geeks.

Geek Toytown. Geeky toys for geeky kids.

Gibson Research Corporation. Steve Gibson is a premier computer scientist and software developer. His site lists dozens of useful applications (many of them free), as well as some very advanced online tests to identify security risks on your computer.

Kitchen Table Computers. Information and illustrated tutorials for people who want to build their own PC's.

Microsoft. Microsoft's official web site contains a staggering amount of helpful information about Microsoft's operating systems and other software.

Modern Opportunity. Modern Opportunity, started in 1992, is a full-service specialty newspaper and Web site. They offer an excellent quarterly newspaper and an Internet website, both devoted to business and career opportunities, services, and products, aswell as offering important and timely business information for entrepreneurs.Want to advertise? Mozilla Foundation. Developers of the open-source Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox Web browsers, and the Mozilla Thunderbird email client.

Pocketides. Their publisher calls them "A new, highly targeted marketing medium reaching the boating and fishing demographic." I prefer to think of them as handy, pocket-sized NOAA tide tables. If you're a boater, then you definitely want one. If you market to boaters, then you need to advertise in one. Available free at local bait, tackle and marine shops.

Tesla-PC/NYC. Tesla Technologies, LLC provides dependable, high-quality, on-site computer repairs and technology services in New York City. Steve is forever putting all sorts of useful and interesting stuff on his site.

TuCows. Many great downloads and up-to-date technology information.

Warriors of the Net. This well-done, entertaining, and informative MPEG movie runs about 13 minutes and helps illustrate the process by which informations is transferred between computers on the Internet. There are several quality levels available, the smallest of which is a 73 MB file; so unless you have a lot of time to kill waiting for the files to download, the movie is best viewed using a high-speed Internet connection (like EarthLink high-speed Internet).
